Calvin is a co-founder and Managing Director of Aura Group (“Aura”) a global financial services business with offices in Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The business focusses on wealth management, funds management and investment banking. He has strong global experience as an entrepreneur, board representative, committee member, investment banker and fund manager across both private and public markets.
Calvin is also co-founder of the Finsure Group (“Finsure”) one of Australia’s largest mortgage aggregation groups. Finsure has been recognized as one of Australia’s fastest growing companies by BRW magazine for 4 consecutive years over 2015-2018. As of Dec 18 Finsure has approximately 4% market share of residential mortgage originations in Australia. Finsure recently completed a reverse merger with APRA regulated authorized taking institution Goldfields Money Limited and is now a fully operational Australian bank.
Calvin has numerous board roles within the Aura Group, Finsure Group, various portfolio companies and is also a Non-Executive Director of IBuyNew Group Limited (ASX:IBN) and a Non-Executive Director and Audit & Risk Committee Member of Catapult Group International Limited (ASX:CAT).
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) and Bachelor of Laws (with Merit) from the University of New South Wales. Calvin has also completed the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and has been admitted to practice as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
